Introduction to watercolour basics

My name is Gideon (AKA Gideonslight) and I have been working in various artistic fields for over 30 years. I am a watercolour artist and I am also a certified "Creatively Fit Coach" with further training in fields of psychology (Logotherapy) as well as Art Therapy. In my hairdressing career I have over 17 years experience as a lecturer and mentor, giving me the experience to convey information in a practical and easy to understand manner.

I am a self-taught artist, meaning I have no formal art education, but most of my art friends say that is a blessing! That said, teaching myself how to paint in various mediums like acrylics and watercolour, had it's advantages. I developed my personal style much earlier and have learned the best tricks of the trade to achieve professional results. Art is part of my business and I complete commissioned works of art on a regular basis. I also attend regular workshops to continuously improve my own skills in both mediums of watercolour and acrylics. Watercolor is my main passion, and I cannot wait to take you on a journey into the magical world of watercolor!

I am also co-founder and author of the "Go Beyond" personal growth course. This creative course employs art therapy and meaning-orientated life coaching strategies that facilitates personal growth and self-motivation. This is a right-brain stimulating workout that helps individuals who feel stuck in their comfort zones to find creative solutions to left-brain challenges!

I am also taking art therapy to a whole new level by incorporating a Logotherapeutic focus and meaning centered therapy. This helps people to process difficult life events and also helps individuals transcend existential frustrations by discovering their life purpose.
